B2B pilot open · San Antonio, TX

Every storm drain,
its own address.

The city already numbers drains by road. Gutter Grate numbers them by unit — with a QR filter cartridge on each one and a live service map that tells crews exactly which bin needs pulling next.

The gap the city already has.

Runoff isn't treated.

San Antonio River Authority: stormwater carries oil, bacteria, sediment, and trash straight into creeks — no plant, no filter.

IDs stop at the road.

City inlet IDs group multiple drains under one street record. There's no way to say "this specific drain, right now."

Service is calendar-based.

Sweep routes visit on schedules, not on need. A full drain during a storm can overflow days before its next pass.

Residents can't help.

There's no obvious way for a person to report a clogged drain to the right unit. 311 opens a ticket for a street.

One filter. One QR. One record per drain.

Install once, then let fill-level data route your crews.

  1. 01
    Retrofit

Curb-mounted filter with a laser-etched QR plate slides over the existing inlet. No demolition.

  2. 02
    Assign

Each unit gets a Gutter Grate ID mapped to the city's inlet ID and GPS coordinates.

  3. 03
    Sense

Cartridge fill % is updated by scan-on-service or optional weight sensor.

  4. 04
    Dispatch

The service map shows exactly which bins are full, near-full, or urgent.
